About the House

The House of St. John Paul II embodies the compassion, generosity, and active service inspired by one of the most influential figures of modern times. Named after Karol Wojtyła, a tireless advocate for human dignity and global solidarity, the house carries forward his legacy of fearless faith and outreach to the margins. In SY 2024–2025 the house organised three major outreach initiatives: Simbang Gabi – Pamaskong Handog for the Johnnies & Garries (Dec 2024), Hearts for Saint Rita donation drive for St. Rita Orphanage (April 2025), and Bundles of Blessings for the Carvaggio community (May 2025). Through these, members lived out the Setonian virtues and the Pope's call to "open wide the doors to Christ" by serving the least among us.

The JPII Distinct: Three Outreach Pillars

Simbang Gabi – Pamaskong Handog

December 2024: The house served as sponsors preparing "timba" or pail of Noche Buena goods distributed to ESS outreach beneficiaries and the parish outreach program for the poor.

Hearts for Saint Rita

April 2025: "Nurturing Hope" initiative - donation drive for essential items (milk, diapers, critical supplies) in collaboration with St. Andrew, St. James the Great, St. John XXIII, St. Lorenzo Ruiz, and St. Peter.

May 2025: Led by Houses of St. John Paul II, San Lorenzo Ruiz, and St. Peter providing school supplies, hygiene kits, and food packs for children of Carrvagio Community c/o Mary Mother of the Church Parish.

  • Children participated in games, coloring, and dancing activities
  • Beneficiary Testimonial: "Para po sa akin isa po malaking tulong sa mga bata ang outreach. Enjoy ang mga bata sa pinapagawa like games, coloring, dancing. Natutu ang mga bata humarap or makisalamuha sa mga hindi nila ka level. Ang program ng outreach? Ang masasabi ko po para sa akin isa sa mga bata dito sa community ng Carvaggio masaya po, happy mga bata, nabubusog sila, nakakatulong malaking tulong po sa mga bata dito. Kaya sa mga pinamimigay niyo pong school supplies at iba pa, maraming salamat. Sana next year pupunta parin kayo sa amin community dito sa Carrvagio. God bless us all!!!"
