The House of St. Luke honors the beloved physician and evangelist, the only Gentile author in the New Testament. Inspired by Luke's Gospel which emphasizes Jesus' compassion, healing ministry, and attention to marginalized people, our house embodies the values of compassionate care, careful observation, and inclusive community. Our house draws inspiration from Luke's unique perspective as both a physician and historian. We celebrate the integration of faith and science, healing and storytelling, compassion and truth-telling. Just as Luke carefully investigated everything before writing his Gospel (Luke 1:3), we value intellectual curiosity, careful research, and thoughtful understanding.
"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to bring good news to the poor."
- Luke 4:18
