The House of St. Mark honors the evangelist traditionally symbolized by the lion, representing courage, royalty, and resurrection. Inspired by Mark's Gospel—the shortest and most action-oriented of the four Gospels—our house embodies values of courageous action, energetic service, and direct communication. Our house draws inspiration from Mark's role as a companion to both Saint Peter and Saint Paul, his missionary journeys, and his vivid, fast-paced Gospel narrative. We celebrate action over words, courage in facing challenges, and the lion-hearted spirit that faces adversity with faith and determination.
"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."
- Mark 10:45
